I have had a few requests for blog posts about my current city of Charleston, SC, so I thought I would break it down into 5 different post.
I love the beach. It is one of my favorite places to be alone, with my family or hang with my friends. There is really no other place like it. Lucky for me, Charleston has plenty to choose from and all of them have different personalities. You can go to whatever beach suits you the best and stay there or move along.
Isle of Palms tends to be my favorite beach to take my kids because of the tidal pools, the county park, and great large beach during low tide. It also has some great walkable restaurants.
Sullivan’s Island tends to be a little more active with kite surfing seen often. I love the restaurants on Sullivan’s island with Poe’s Tavern, Obstinate daughter, Mex1, and Hometeam all right there. So fun and so delicious!
Folly Beach is also fun and full of surfing and restaurants. It tends to be the “younger” (my husband always laughs when I say that) crowd but also has great restaurants to choose from.
Kiawah and Seabrook are a little more resort like and often pull the golf crowd, but don’t stay away just because you don’t golf. Plenty of great beaches for all.
What are your favorite beaches in Charleston or around your area? Which beach do you like to visit on vacation? Let me know!
Have a great Tuesday and be looking out for the other top 4 reasons I love Charleston, SC!
