Buffalo Jackson Goes to Ecuador

As you may have noticed, travel bags are very important to me! This is one of the first times we took our kids with us abroad so I needed to switch up my bag this trip to accommodate the way I carry things.

Here is where the new Buffalo Jackson Madison Waxed Canvas Backpack came into play.  With kids coming along, I needed extra room for necessities such as suckers, napkins, snacks all while also keeping my camera, lens, wallet and passport safely in check.

Here are a couple things I liked best about this bag:

  1. The outside is waxed canvas which means water resistant and all around undestructable! When traveling with kids and to an unknown environment, this is essential.
  2. It has a zipper pocket on the inside! This is really important to me when traveling abroad as I am the keeper of the all important passports (aka the most important things in our possession beside our kids of course).
  3. It’s roomy enough to hold all of my essentials such as: camera, lens, wallet, passports, water bottle, snacks, sunglasses and sunblock.
  4. This backpack has evenly distributed weight secondary to the ability to carry it as a backpack, plus it’s hard to steal the backpack when it is attached to you (also something to think about when traveling). Travel tip: Turn the backpack around when walking through busy areas in order to place your hands on top so no one can pick pocket you)!
  5. Stylish pack! Let’s be honest no one wants to carry around an ugly purse/backpack.  Buffalo Jackson continues to nail both the design and the color combo to make it versatile enough to wear with everything!

I took this pack with me everywhere we went! The airport and airplane were a breeze! It went to downtown Quito, shopping in Otovola markets to hold my new treasures, up to Quilotoa where we hiked down to a volcano and back up again, and over to the cloud forest where we ziplined and walked through the rainforest. It’s versatile and roomy and I was so happy to switch it up to a backpack for this trip to accommodate my kids and myself all in one bag.  Thank you Buffalo Jackson for helping me traverse Ecuador!

You can find the link for my bag HERE.  As always let me know if you have any questions!

Until next time, Cheers!
